The new Fisher SVX Steam Conditioning Valve delivers efficiency, reliability and maintainability for flow down steam conditioning configurations
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (April. 9, 2026) – Today Emerson introduced Fisher™ SVX Steam Conditioning Valve, engineered to deliver precise pressure and temperature control in combined cycle power plants and other critical process environments.
With the release of the SVX, power plant operators now have options from the Fisher valve portfolio to meet a range of operational and budgetary requirements. Users can leverage the full range of Emerson's valve actuator and instrumentation portfolio, as well as its extensive service network.
Backed by over 35 years of steam conditioning expertise, the SVX combines proven technology with advanced engineering to meet a high standard of performance, reliability and maintainability. Designed using advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), its optimized valve body withstands high-pressure steam and rapid thermal cycling to provide long-term durability.
The SVX uses Emerson’s patent-pending Whisper™ Flow Down Technology to reduce noise and vibration while maintaining high flow capacity. It delivers water atomization and vaporization across a wide operating range, and its steam atomized nozzle protects downstream piping and minimizes straight pipe length requirements.
Additional features — such as the pressure seal bonnet for superior sealing and a pilot plug design for precise control with smaller actuators — support efficiency, responsiveness and reduced maintenance costs.
